Circa 1870's, an antique pair of fancy drop earrings reflecting a pretty and romanticised version of ancient Etruscan jewels which had been seen at Museums across Europe. They are a lovely shape which is weighted perfectly and moves beautifully; the pear shape with spoked edges around a central shell shape with a hand carved Rose Coral to the centre.
In a base metal (which we can't test) they are lightly Gilded with a mattified finish. They measure 4cm from the top of the wires.
