A pretty pair of Georgian-inspired paste solitaire earrings, converted from an antique Georgian collar. The chunky old cut pastes are set in silver collet settings with 18ct gold backs and hooks. They’ve been expertly cut with a high-table and neat facets, simulating that of a 4ct diamond.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection.
They’re a beautiful pair of Georgian-style earrings, adorned with two exceptional paste stones that sparkle as bright as any diamond.
