These colourful stud earrings are adorned with a lovely trilogy of gemstones comprised of a violet amethyst, green peridot and a bright cultured opal that contrast and complement each other beautifully.
The combination of violet and green gems was often used together to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement in the early 20th Century. A white stone was often present as well and together symbolised the movements key virtues; Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The pair is fashioned in 9ct gold and fitted with butterfly stud backs, complete with hallmarks along the posts.
